26 January, 2005, 6 PM Guelman Gallery opens the exhibition of the latest works (year 2004-2005) of the Ukranian artist Alexander Gnilitsky. The exhibition is in the parallel programme of the I Moscow biennale of Contemporary art.

Alexander Gnilitsky
(due to Cyrillic spelling a.k.a. Hnilitski, Gnylytsky...)

born in 1961, Kharkov, Ukraine.
Lives and works both, in Kiev (Ukraine) and Munich (Germany).

Education:
1981 - 1987 Monumental Painting Department, Ukrainian State Academy of Art, (Kiev, Ukraine);
1976 - 1980 Theater Design Department, Kharkov Art College (Kharkov, Ukraine);

Other experience:

1996 Co-founder of the institution of unstable thoughts, an art collective and a Kiev based NGO for cultural activism.
2000 - 2002 Production-design for TV& film / Concept artist for live-action and animation (Munich, Germany);
